An Ariane 5 ECA launch vehicle was successfully launched two communcations satellites into a geosynchronous transfer orbit from the Kourou launch site in French Guiana at 2030 GMT on 29 August 2013. The satellites carried on the flight were the Space Systems/Loral built 6,310kg European/Qatari Eutelsat 25B/Es’hail 1 joint venture commercial communications satellite and the Indian Navy’s 2650kg Gsat – 7 communications satellite.
