China launches a pair of Jilin satellites out of Jiuquan

A Chinese Long March 11 rocket launched two Jilin Earth observation satellites from the Jiuquan launch site at 0542 GMT on 21 January 2019. The two satellites Jilin Hyperspectral 01 and Jilin Hyperspectral 02 were built and will be owned and operated by the Chang Guang Satellite Technology Ltd. The satellites have alternative names Jilin Lincao 1 and Wenchang Chaosuan 1. An unidentified third satellite was also reported to be on board the flight into a sun-sunsynchronous low Earth orbit. The satellites can reportedly make 1m resolution video recordings of the Earth.
