An improved version of the Chinese Long March-3B/G2 (CZ-3B/G2) rocket has successfully launched the Chinasat 19 communications satellite (aka Zhongxing-19) on a geosynchronous Transfer orbit (GTO) from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre, China at 1150 GMT on 5 November 2022. The spacecraft will eventually circularise itself into a 36,000 km circular geostationary Earth orbit from where it will operate from. The spcecraft contains a Ka-band high throughput communications payload. The spacecraft reportedly used a DFH-4E bus design from the ITS – Institute of Telecommunication Satellites (Part of CAST).
