At 1743 GMT, on 4 November 2019, a Long March 3B/G2 (CZ-3B/G2) rocket lifted-off from Xichang Satellite Launch Center, Southern China, carrying the BEIDOU-3 IGSO-3 satellite into orbit. This IGSO unit will travel to a Geosynchronous orbit, inclined at the Geostationary arc, to provide improved coverage for the BeiDou satellite navigation system. It is the third unit deployed into this orbit for the third-phase of the BeiDou system.
