China has very much got its launch programme underway again after delays caused by the coronavirus outbreak and launch vehicle failures. The latest launch was of a Long March 11 launch vehicle which used the Xichang launch site for the first time. The launch, which took place at 2013 GMT on 29 May, carried two technology test satellites to carry out inter satellite link networking and new earth observation tests: the XJS G (Xinjinshu Shiyan H aka Chaungxin 6-01) of China Academy of Sciences (CAS)/National Space Science Center, and XJS H (Xinjinshu Shiyan H) which was built by the National University of Defence Technology (NUDT) for the China Academy of Sciences (CAS)/National Space Science Center.
