China successfully launched three Yaogan satellites, Yaogan 30-6-1, -2, and -3, at 0343 GMT on 24 March using a Long March 2C flying from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre in China. These Yaogan satellites are officially civilian in nature but are actually expected to be operated by the Chinese Military to carry out Naval Ocean Electronic Intelligence Surveillance.
