China successfully launched a Long March 2C from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre at 0402 GMT on 13 March.
The vehicle was carrying Horus 2, a remote sensing satellite for the Egyptian Space Agency. The satellite successfully entered its planned orbit, according to reports.
The launch was the 466th flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
