While more famous for its space and aviation classes of insurance underwriting and for organising the World Space Risk Forum conference which is run biennially, the Dubai-based insurance agency, elseco, has appointed Russell Tong as its new Energy Underwriter. The role has been newly created at the technology insurance agency as it branches out into Energy underwriting. Russell Tong, who is a specialist in the energy class, formerly worked for Q-Re and QIC based in Doha, Qatar. Tong will report to elseco’s CEO Laurent Lemaire.
