During January, Arianespace and the European Space Agency (ESA) announced the signature of a launch services contract for the Euclid satellite. The Euclid mission will utilize either a Soyuz or an Ariane 62 launch vehicle from the Guiana Space Center, Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana (South America), with a launch timeframe starting in mid-2022.
Euclid is a medium-class astronomy and astrophysics space mission examining cosmic expansion driven by dark energy by surveying galaxies in visible and near infrared wavelengths.
