Newspace company Lynk Global has contracted with launch arranger Spaceflight Inc to manifest multiple satellites on an upcoming SpaceX rideshare in December. Lynk is aiming to provide ubiquitous mobile phone connectivity through LEO satellites. Its fifth test satellite – known as Shannon – was launched on a previous SpaceX rideshare mission on 30 June.
Lynk is in the process of gaining FCC approval for an initial constellation of 10 satellites as it works on the design for its envisioned constellation that may encompass up to 5,000 spacecraft!
