We are sad to note that real life early cosmonaut Valery Fyodorovich Bykovsky has passed away at the age of 84. He flew on his first spaceflight on Vostok 5 in 1963 as well as on Soyuz 22 and Soyuz 31 in the second half of the 1970s.

Meantime, in the fictional world, actor Shane Rimmer, the “go to” actor for US characters in British-made films at Pinewood Studios has died at the age of 89. Apart from appearing in various James Bond movies, he appeared in Star Wars (1977). Rimmer also used his distinctive voice for the Scott character in the puppet TV action show The Thunderbirds. We give our condolences to the families and friends of both.
