Four Tianmu-1 satellites (Tianmu-1 11-14) used for meteorological measurement using signals occultation of navigation satellite signals were successfully launched by a Chinese Kuaizhou-1A (KZ-1A) solid fuel rocket at Jiuquan, Inner Mongolia at 0100 GMT on 25 December. The satellites were placed into a Sun-synchronous orbit of circa 530 x 515 km at 97.4 degrees inclination. A second set of four Tianmu-1 spacecraft (Tianmu-1 19-22) were launched into a similar orbit at 0650 GMT on 27 December, again by a Kuaizhou-1A (KZ-1A) rocket from Jiuquan.
A Kuaizhou-1A rocket lifted off from Jiuquan at 0100 UTC today successfully carrying the Tianmu-1 (11, 12, 13 & 14) satellites into orbit. This was China's 63rd orbital launch of 2023.https://t.co/0GxWcOZzM0 pic.twitter.com/wSIYXPAVPz
