After suffering a few days of high winds which delayed the launch, a Rocket Lab Electron rocket launched four small satellites to low Earth orbit at 1212 GMT from the Mahia Peninsula in New Zealand. The satellites were the BlackSky Global-4, BRO-1, Pearl White 1 and 2 satellites. Black Sky Global-4 is part of a planned 60 satellite Earth observation constellation, each of circa 56 kg, aiming to produce with 1m resolution. BRO-1 is a 6U-cubesat on a commercial maritime surveillance mission utilising CubeSat based spectrum monitoring. The two Pearl White satellites are a pair of technology 6U-cubesat-class test satellites.
