At the Satellite 2022 conference in Washington DC, PSN (Pasifik Satelit Nusantara) of Indonesia contracted with Boeing to provide an HTS GEO satellite giving 140 Gbps of capacity over the country. The company intends that this spacecraft will complement the SATRIA-1 satellite ordered from Thales Alenia Space in 2019. The new satellite, known as Nusantara Lima, is reported to be based on the Boeing 702MP bus.
In the same announcement the company revealed that the satellite would be launched in 2023 by a SpaceX Falcon 9.
