SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9v1.2 FT Block 5 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA, at 0241 GMT on 7 August 2023. The vehicle was carrying Starlink Group 6-8, a total of 22 v2 Mini Starlink satellites for the second generation constellation. The reusable B1078 first stage, on its fourth flight, landed on the drone barge A Shortfall of Gravitas located in the Atlantic. These satellites will eventually operate (once they have raised themselves from their deployment orbit) in a 559 km orbit inclined at 43 degrees to the equatorial plane.
