SpaceX conducted a mission from Cape Canaveral, Florida, launching a customer satellite into a geostationary transfer orbit (GTO). The launch took place at 0426 GMT on 6 June, and carried the 7,000 kg SXM-8 satellite for Sirius XM. The satellite will now propel itself towards GEO from its reported 235 x 19,384 km, 27 degree, drop-off location.
The first-stage, known as B1061, landed on the drone barge Just Read the Instructions downrange approximately eight minutes 40 seconds post launch. This marks the third launch and landing for this stage.
