A SpaceX operated Falcon 9v1.2FT Block 5 rocket sent Starlink group 7-8 into orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, USA at 0803 GMT on 8 December 2023. The group consisted of 22 v2 Mini spacecraft for the second generation Starlink constellation.The reusable B1071 first stage of the Falcon 9, on its 13th flight, landed on the drone barge Of Course I Still Love You located down range in the Pacific. The deployment of all 22 satellites into their initial delivery orbit was confirmed by SpaceX. The satellites will raise themselves into their operational 525 km orbit over the next few weeks.
