A Long March 7 (CZ-7) rocket has successfully launched the Tianzhou-6 freighter spacecraft at 1322 GMT on 10 May 2023 on its way to the Chinese Space Station (CSS/Tiangong). The launch took place frorm Wenchang Satellite Launch Centre, Hainan Island, in Far Eastern China.
The unmanned freighter mission, carried 6,640 kg of cargo including, clothes, food (70 kg of fresh fruit), water, samples, equipment, consumables & spare parts for 29 experiments. It also carries 1.75 tonnes of propellant (700 kg of which is for the CSS). This is the fifth cargo delivery mission to the Chinese space station.
Update on 11 May 2023: Tianzhou-6 docked with the aft port of the Chinese Space Station’s Tianhe module at 2116 GMT on 10 May 2023.
